For water enthusiasts there is an endless list of activities to take part in all summer long. From canoeing, kayaking, boating, windsurfing and sailing, the possibilities are endless. Both the Winnipeg RIver and the Pinawa Channel offer easy water access for all to enjoy.

There is great hiking and biking trails all around Pinawa. The Trans Canada Trail runs along the perimeter of the community where it is aptly named the Ironwood Trail for its abundance of the rare Ironwood tree. The HIstoric Site of the Old Pinawa Dam is located only fifteen minutes away along PR# 520. You can click the Hiking Trails button below to find out more information about the trails.

The Winnipeg River right beside Pinawa is known to be a great river system for Walleye fishing. Pinawa is home to the annual Lund Mania pro fishing tournament and attracts anglers from all over North America come to participate. Here you can see Campground owner Brent holding up a nice Walleye.

Another favorite pastime for locals and visitors to enjoy is floating down the Pinawa Channel. This slow pace, relaxing tube float winds you through some beautiful scenery including the rocky forest landscape and the unique suspension bridge that you see in the background. The Channel runs right along the campground and you can end your tube float right there with a short walk up to your camper.

The wildlife in Relax Ridge is really a part of the campground. Deer roam freely throughout the campground along with other woodland creatures like fox, porcupines and racoons.
